S MD is a studio practice working at the intersection of set design and sculptural furniture, shaped by a background in design for moving picture. Rooted in material and process exploration, Martina embraces the raw, unpredictable nature of natural and historical materials, reimagining traditional techniques with a contemporary sensibility.

Layering is central to her work. Through a sedimentary, hands-on process, her lime plaster series emerge as stone-like forms - balancing organic spontaneity with deliberate intent. Simple, sculptural shapes highlight the material’s natural textures, inviting both touch and contemplation.

Each project is both a quiet rebellion and a grounding presence, subtly shifting perceptions of form and surface.
